"We asked Roberto to show us how to make a few Italian dishes at our Cookery club, which, to be faced with 10 chatty ladies, must have been quite daunting. Well I think it transformed our cooking. Now we know just how much oil to put into bruschetta topping; and it's a lot more than you think! And it just wasn't just us watching and listening; we were rolling pasta, dressing lobster, assembling aubergine parcels and best of all tasting the finished dishes. And what flavours; the lobster sauce was amazing; rich and deep. The porcini mushroom sauce; powerful and meaty. So much food we had to pace ourselves for pudding, but we found room! Good job too as the gooey chocolate pots were heavenly, as was the creamy tiramisu’, all washed down with a thimbleful of Limoncello. All with genuine home grown snippets of stories from Roberto's Italian childhood, oregano from his Mum's garden and tips on where to get the best produce for the best flavour."
